Security forces have arrested 64 more Afghan migrants in Turkey for entering the country illegally, according to reports on Tuesday.
The Turkish media reported the unlawful Afghan migrants were caught in a truck along with its Iranian driver.
Turkey has deported about 138 Afghan nationals to their homeland since June 2023.
The Turkish government has recently increased restrictions on all immigrants who enter the country illegally.
A few days ago, Turkish police had detained 55 Afghan citizens who wanted to find their way to Europe.
In recent months, the Turkish government has toughened its position on illegal immigrants, deporting them to their countries.
Earlier, the Turkish Refugee Agency said the country had deported more than 68,000 Afghan refugees who did not have legal documents in 2022.
