This special program, “Eid Gift”, showcases the joyful celebrations of Eid al-Fitr by Afghan residents living in Toronto.
Organized by the Subhan Islamic Association in collaboration with the Paiwastoon Community, the event aimed to celebrate this blessed day by preserving Afghan unity, cultural values, and national identity.
Wesal TV reporter, Abdul Basit Krokhel, conducted spontaneous and heartfelt interviews with attendees, capturing Eid greetings, prayers for Afghanistan, poetry, folk songs (landays), and the emotions of life in exile.
The program also features scenes from the Eid prayer, children’s joyful moments, traditional Attan dances, and heartwarming memories.
