In Mississauga, Canada, the Afghan Network for Social Services (ANSS) hosted a scientific and literary gathering and Eid evening to honor the academic and cultural legacy of writer and poet Professor Dr. Lal Pacha Azmoon.
The event highlighted Professor Azmoon’s literary and cultural contributions, and in recognition of his unparalleled and exemplary work, he was awarded the 2025 Scientific Award.
Professor Azmoon has authored 140 published works and 35 unpublished ones, significantly enriching the Pashto language and Afghan culture.
Many writers, political, social, and cultural figures attended the ceremony, sharing insights on his life, achievements, and intellectual legacy.
Additionally, the newly published poetry collection “په شملو اور پورې شو” by poet Dur Mohammad AfghanYar was celebrated as part of the program’s literary theme.
