Hundreds of Afghans living in Toronto, Canada, held a protest on Tuesday condemning Pakistan’s continued violations and airstrikes on Afghanistan’s territory and airspace.
The airstrikes carried out by Pakistani forces on October 9, 2025, targeting the cities of Kabul, Nangarhar, Khost, and Paktika—and continuing since February 21, 2026—have violated international norms and principles of good neighborliness. These attacks have caused extensive material damage and heavy civilian casualties, particularly among women and children, deeply affecting Afghans both inside and outside the country.
As a result, Afghan residents of Canada—women and men, young and old—gathered in Toronto on behalf of tens of thousands of Afghans living in the country.
Afghans in Toronto raised their voices of protest and justice before the international community, the United Nations, the government of Pakistan, and the current authorities in Afghanistan, calling for an end to further bloodshed, destruction of infrastructure, and civilian casualties.
