Afghans living in Toronto of Canada celebrated the 104th anniversary of Afghanistan’s Independence Day. The ceremony was organized by the ANSS on Friday evening.
The celebration ceremony was attended by many Afghans, the speakers of this event highlighted the value and background of freedom and importance of independence, epic songs were sung in praise of the country’s independence.
The participants of this ceremony also expressed happiness with the singing of national anthem.
Eng. Syed Ahmad Zia Muzahri, chairman of the board of the ANSS, said: “I’m glad to be joining this ceremony along with patriotic Afghans who love their country and people.”
Under the leadership of then King Ghazi Amanullah Khan, Afghanistan won its independence from Britain in 1919.
Although the celebration of this day has been lukewarm in the country for the past two years, the Afghans living in different countries celebrated it with enthusiasm on social media.
