This episode of Successful Figures features an interview with Muslimyar Ashraf, an Afghan member of Germany’s national cricket team.
Born in 1999 in the Chahar Dara district of Kunduz province, Ashraf completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in his hometown.
In 2016, he moved to Germany and now lives with his family in Frankfurt, where he works in Information Technology at Naegelundkoepfe GmbH.
A passionate cricket player from a young age, Ashraf started playing in his village. Now, he coaches the youth cricket team at Niddaschule in Frankfurt and represents Germany’s national cricket team alongside four other Afghan players.
In addition to his work and cricket, Ashraf is pursuing higher education. He is currently a third-year student in Electrical and Building Technology.
Fluent in Pashto, Dari, English, German, and Urdu, Ashraf is a true example of success and perseverance.
