Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) Chairman Mirwais Ashraf and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Naseeb Khan have attended the International Cricket Council (ICC) annual conference in Sri Lanka.
The conference concluded in Colombo on Monday, ACB wrote on its Facebook page. ICC members’ hailed Afghanistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup in the US and West Indies.
ACB Chairman Mirwais Ashraf briefed the meeting on Afghanistan’s domestic cricket and future plans.
Organising bilateral white-ball series with South Africa, West Indies and New Zealand ahead of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 also came up for discussion.
Ashraf also discussed the Afghanistan A team tours of Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, as well as arranging a tri-nation U-19 series among Afghanistan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
The venues and dates of these matches would be announced in near future, ACB concluded.
