Wesal TV(Scarborough): During a special academic, historical and cultural gathering titled “Cultural Gathering” in Toronto, Canada, young Pashto ghazal singer and artist Shumali Afghan performed poems by the late Gilaman Wazir in his distinctive artistic style.
Shumali Afghan’s performance received a warm response from attendees and attracted the attention of those interested in poetry, music, Pashto literature and culture.
Alongside academic and historical discussions, the event also highlighted different aspects of the Pashto language, literature, poetry, music and art.
The program was attended by Canada-based cultural figures, writers, poets, artists and supporters of the Pashto language and culture. The academic, historical and cultural gathering was jointly initiated and organized by Ehsan Kamal and Amin Qazi.
