Amo Sharks clinched their third consecutive Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) title after defeating Speenghar Tigers by seven wickets in the final at the Rahmat Wali Masroor Cricket Stadium in Khost on Wednesday.
After winning the toss, Speenghar Tigers elected to bat first and were bowled out for 166 in the final over of their innings.
Ismat Alam top-scored with 67, while Rashid Khan made 27 and captain Darwish Rasooli contributed 20.
For Amo Sharks, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Gulbadin Naib, Qais Ahmad and Abdullah Ahmadzai claimed two wickets each, while Yamin Ahmadzai took one.
In reply, Amo Sharks chased down the target in 16.1 overs for the loss of three wickets to seal a comfortable seven-wicket victory.
Imran Mir led the chase with an unbeaten 77, while Hassan Eisakhil contributed 63.
The victory marks Amo Sharks’ third successive Shpageeza Cricket League title, having also won the ninth and 10th editions of the tournament.
