At least 763 Afghan nationals were released from Pakistani prisons and returned to the country during the current week, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Saturday.

In a statement, the ministry said 230 individuals returned through the Torkham crossing, while 533 crossed via Spin Boldak.

It added that the individuals had been detained for lacking valid legal documents. After their release, they were registered, provided humanitarian assistance and transferred to their respective provinces of origin.
