The Afghanistan Cricket Board on Tuesday announced sending national team’s spin bowler Mujeeb Zadran to India for better treatment.
ACB reported that Mujeeb has been injured for the past few months, with damaged ligaments between his right hand fingers preventing him from bowling.
The board noted that Mujeeb had previously undergone treatment twice in the United Arab Emirates, once in England, and once in the West Indies, but he has not fully recovered. As a result, he has been sent to India for further treatment.
The cricket board expressed hope that Mujeeb Zadran will recover soon and rejoin the national team.
This comes on the heels of top order batsman Ibrahim Zadran successfully undergoing surgery in England on Monday.
