Pakistani forces have fired missiles into the Zazai Aruob district of southeastern Paktia province which met a similar response from Afghan security forces, residents said on Tuesday.
Anwar Sediqi, a triable elder, said that Pakistani forces fired missiles into the Mana Jabba locality at around 5:00 pm on Monday. He said in response Afghan forces also fired.
Walli Zazai, another tribal elder, said that Pakistani forces wanted to create check-posts in Mana Jaba and Gorgan areas inside Afghanistan which was not allowed by the Afghan security forces.
He said in response Pakistani forces fired missiles inside Afghanistan, a missile also hit a house in the Kotkai locality.
He was unaware of losses caused by Pakistani missiles.
A security source wishing not to be named said that Pakistani forces on Monday fired missiles into Zazai Aruob’s Mana Jaba and Spina Shaga areas.
The source did not provide information about the reason behind missile firing and possible losses.
It is worth mentioning that earlier, Pakistani forces also fired missiles inside Afghanistan.
