The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) says at least 17,000 children have lost their families or separated since the beginning of Israeli attacks on Gaza.
“UNICEF estimates that at least 17,000 children in the Gaza Strip are unaccompanied or separated.” UNICEF said in a statement on Friday.
It said the mental health of children in Gaza has been seriously affected and they need help in this regard.
It added that since the beginning of the war in Gaza, more than 40,000 children have benefited from the health services of UNICEF.
Since on October 7, more than 171,000 Palestinians have lost their lives so far in attacks by Israeli forces. Reports say 1,500 Israeli people have also been killed.
