The Ministry of Refugee and Repatriation (MoRR) on Sunday said 11 more Afghans have been released from prisons in Pakistan’s Punjab province.
MoRR wrote on its X handle the Afghans had been detained by Pakistani security personnel due lack of residential documents.
It said the 11 Afghans freed from prisons in Punjab province returned to the country via the Torkham crossing.
The returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance after being registered by the Refugee Department.
Earlier, 58 Afghans had been released from jails in Pakistan’s Sindh province, Following their release, they returned to the country.
