Six Afghans have reportedly died of suffocation due to a gas leak in a green tea shop in Qarchak city of Tehran province in neighboring Iran.
The incident happened Monday morning and the dead included two women, reported Tasnim news agency.
The report said two relatives of one of the deceased were taken to hospital due to the shock of the incident.
Officials said that investigations were ongoing in connection with the deaths.
With a population of 270,000 people, the city of Qarchak is located 30 kilometers southeast of Tehran.
So far, the governments of Iran and Afghanistan have not said anything about the heart-wrenching incident.
