Due to the intense struggle and widespread activities of the Baloch separatists, Pakistan is currently facing highly sensitive political, economic, and military challenges, with many Pakistani politicians fearing the potential disintegration of the country.
As a result, there is increasing attention on Pashtun political parties and movements to see what plans and strategies they will pursue in the future. Among these movements, the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is the most prominent.
Recently, its activism has somewhat diminished, largely due to the Pakistani government’s imposition of bans on its leaders and the declaration of their activities as illegal.
In this context, we interviewed Noor Bacha, the provincial leader of the PTM in Balochistan. He stated that Pashtun political parties have failed to implement the decisions made by the Khyber Assembly, but after Eid, the PTM will initiate a new struggle and resistance against the Pakistani government and military independently.
In the interview, we asked him about the impact of the Baloch separatists’ military struggle on the Pashtuns and their future, the status of the PTM’s imprisoned leaders, and the policy the PTM plans to adopt in its ongoing struggle.
These and other related questions are addressed in this interview.
