Every year on November 11, Canada observes Remembrance Day to honor its soldiers who sacrificed their lives in wars.
On this day, citizens, military members, and city officials lay wreaths of flowers and pay tribute to those who served their country.
The tradition began after World War I when the armistice on November 11, 1919, marked the beginning of peace.
Since then, Canadians have commemorated this day in honor of the soldiers who served in the First and Second World Wars — and in later missions, including Afghanistan.
We are covering the ceremony from Peterborough, Ontario. Watch the full report on Wesal TV’s YouTube channel!
