A special gathering was held in Canada to mark the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Gilaman Wazir, a prominent member of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM), along with the memorial ceremony of Molana Khanzeb.
Gilaman Wazir, known for his intellectual and civil rights activism, was assassinated in Islamabad last year in a targeted attack.
The event was attended by civil society members, political figures, and cultural personalities. PTM leader Manzoor Pashteen also addressed the audience virtually.
Attendees viewed such events as vital for raising awareness and emphasized that remembering the martyrs should inspire concrete actions for justice and dignity.
