These days, some Afghan politicians—led by former Vice President Sarwar Danish and Latif Pedram—have brought up the issue of a federal system in relation to the constitution, keeping the debate active on social media.
This comes despite the fact that they currently hold neither any territory nor official authority or status. Still, they hope that a federal system should be established in Afghanistan.
Some individuals who were previously their allies but have now distanced themselves accuse this circle of federal advocates of working against the national interests of the country, claiming that all their efforts are based on ethnic and regional grounds.
