Last night in Mississauga, Canada, five Afghan community organizations jointly celebrated the 106th anniversary of Afghanistan’s independence with a series of vibrant and meaningful events.
The ceremony, which drew the participation of many Afghans, included speeches and musical performances. Speakers reflected on the historical significance and value of independence and freedom, while an Afghan singer performed patriotic songs in honor of the occasion.
The event was supported by Afghan Paiwastoon Community, Afghan Writers Strategic Center, Afghan-Canadian Organiztion, Afghan Women Coordination Umbrella, and the Development of Innovative Business Association (DIBA), who also provided dinner for attendees.
