In this edition of the Subat (stability) program, we feature a prominent figure who has championed the idea of a “Greater Afghanistan” for nearly two decades, promoting this vision through dozens of televised interviews.
The guest is Mashal Khan Takkar, a native of Mardan in southern Pashtunkhwa, born into a politically and culturally active family. He currently resides in Germany.
Takkar believes that Pakistan is at its weakest point since the separation of Bangladesh and argues that the time is ripe for the reintegration of Afghanistan’s historical territories.
He not only accuses Afghan leaders of irresponsible conduct regarding the Durand Line but also claims to possess historical documents and evidence that undermine the legal and international legitimacy of the border.
According to Takkar, a formal case on this matter will be filed at the Hague International Court next year.
We spoke with Mashal Khan Takkar about this issue and other related topics, which we present in this program.
