In this program of “Successful Figures,” Muzhda Ibrahimi, a PhD candidate at the University of Cologne, Germany, and a women’s rights activist, is our guest.
Muzhda Ibrahimi was born in 1987 in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. At the age of eight, due to the civil conflicts in Afghanistan, she and her family migrated to Germany.
She completed her undergraduate studies in Asian Studies at the University of Bonn and later earned a master’s degree in Asian Economics and Society. Currently, she is conducting research on Afghan women’s migration at the University of Cologne, one of Germany’s most prestigious higher education institutions, as a PhD candidate.
Through her valuable work in various fields, including social media, translation, and facilitating coordination among Afghan immigrants, she has made significant contributions to the immigrant community.
Over the years, especially through her active presence in protests and campaigns, Ibrahimi has amplified the voices of Afghan women in Germany and introduced a new image of Afghan women to German society.
Muzhda Ibrahimi, with her tireless efforts, serves as a model of resistance, hope, and progress for Afghan immigrants and women around the world.
