Afghanistan and South Africa are all set to square off in the first semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tomorrow (Thursday) at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
The match will commence at 5:00am Afghanistan time, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page.
ACB will live broadcast the match on a big screen at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan T20 skipper and veteran leggie Rashid Khan also called on the people to keep supporting the team.
Afghanistan created history on Tuesday when they stormed into the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 after beating Bangladesh by eight runs in their last Super Eight clash at the Arnos Vale Ground in Kingstown, St Vincent.
Both the Proteas and Afghanistan will be seeking a maiden appearance in the World Cup final.
It will be Afghanistan’s first World Cup semi-final after only making their debut at major ICC tournaments 14 years ago at the World T20 in the Caribbean.
