High ranking European Union (EU) officials have discussed delivering humanitarian aid to Afghans in Brussels.
“Stakeholders met in Brussels to take stock of the engagement with the Afghan people and to discuss the most efficient ways to meet their basic needs and provide humanitarian aid,” the European External Action Service (EEAS) wrote on its X handle.
Qatar’s representative also participated in the meeting.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Doha promised continued efforts for Afghanistan’s social and economic development.
The diplomats met ahead of the third UN-convened meeting, scheduled to begin on June 30 in Doha.
Earlier, Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir Khan Muttaqi had met European Union Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Nicholson on the Doha meeting.
Muttaqi had said the caretaker government was assessing the upcoming meeting and would announce its passion on it.
