More than 120 people attended the event, which took place on April 4th of this year at a halal restaurant in the North York area of Toronto. Most participants were Muslims residing in Toronto, but individuals from other religious backgrounds also joined and broke their fast alongside the Muslim attendees.
Steph, Wood Green’s administrative assistant, explained to Wasal TV that the event aimed to foster the sharing of experiences, successes, and challenges related to Canada’s cultural diversity and the experience of newly arrived immigrants.
