Turkey has canceled the visa-free travel regime for Tajik citizens in compliance with a presidential decree, media reports said on Sunday.
“A decision was made to cancel the visa-free regime for citizens of Tajikistan holding ordinary foreign passports when traveling to Turkey,” Anatolia news agency reported.
The measure is based on the Law on Foreigners and International Protection, according to the media outlet.
Earlier, Tajik citizens could travel to Turkey without a visa. However, the reason for reversing the decision is not yet known.
