At least five Iranian security forces have been killed in two separate attacks in southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan province, media reports said on Thursday.
At least 15 militants were also killed in the overnight clashes in the Iranian towns of Chabahar and Rask in the impoverished province, Iranian state media reported.
It said ten more security forces were also wounded during the gunfights.
The Sunni militant group Jaish al-Adl, which s seeks greater rights for the ethnic Baluch minority, claimed responsibility for the attack. State TV showed gunfire during street clashes.
