At least three civilians were killed and 12 others wounded as a result of a suicide bombing in front of the New Kabul Bank building in the capital of southern Kandahar province on Thursday morning.
The suicide attacker detonated his explosives in a line of people waiting for withdrawing money from the bank in the first police district of Kandahar City.
Police said the bombing occurred at around 8:30am. All the victims were civilians, the police headquarters said in a statement.
The injured were evacuated to hospital for medical treatment and are said to be in stable condition.
Security forces have started investigations into the suicide blast, the statement concluded.
