Afghanistan A will tour Sri Lanka for a five-match One-Day International (ODI) series and a four-day encounter.
Afghanistan A will arrive in Sri Lanka on April 25 and commence their tour with an ODI against the hosts on April 28, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) said.
It said the second ODI would take place on April 30, third on May 3, fourth on May 5 and fifth on May 7.
The four-day match is scheduled to begin from May 11, the statement added. Venues for the matches are yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, ACB CEO Naseeb Khan expressed his satisfaction with the consistent engagement of the Afghanistan A in bilateral series.
He highlighted the importance of providing ample exposure to the A team, calling it the backup for the national side.
“The ACB remains committed to facilitating as much exposure as possible for the Afghanistan A squad, which comprises our talented young cricketers,” he commented.
Last week, Afghanistan’s national team concluded its tour of Sri Lanka and played a one-off Test, three ODIs and as many T20s against the hosts.
