At least four people have been killed in an avalanche in the Raghistan district of northeastern Badakhshan province, police said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the provincial police headquarters said the victims had set out three days earlier in search of work when they were caught in the avalanche in the Aquba Shala area of the district.
It said the victims were residents of Kuf Ab district of Badakhshan.
The statement added that the avalanche occurred on Sunday, but the bodies of the victims were recovered from under the snow on Wednesday.
