Afghanistan’s national futsal team lost to Iran in its final group-stage match of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup.
The match ended 5–2 in favor of Iran.
Afghanistan’s goals were scored by Reza Hosseinpour and Mohammadjavad Safari.
Before this match, Afghanistan had recorded two group-stage wins against Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
With this result, Afghanistan will face Japan in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
