About 131 Afghan refugees have returned to the country after being released from jails in Pakistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday.
In a post on X, the MoRR stated that these individuals, who had been detained across various parts of Pakistan, returned home this week following their release.
A source, citing the Spin Boldak Kandahar Migrant Transfers Directorate, said, “These individuals were held in different areas of Pakistan for periods ranging from one to six days.”
The ministry added that after arriving in Afghanistan and receiving humanitarian assistance, the returnees were transferred to their home districts.
