A protest gathering was organized in Toronto, Canada by the Afghan Initiatives Society to show solidarity with Afghan refugees who were recently forcefully deported from Iran.
Participants highlighted that Afghan refugees have long suffered as victims of war, instability, and global political agendas, and continue to face harsh, inhumane conditions in various countries.
They stressed the need for humane, legal, and ethical treatment of refugees, rather than violence and humiliation.
Attendees asserted that forced deportations and cruel treatment of refugees violate fundamental human values, and the international community must not remain silent in the face of such injustices.
Afghans living in Canada were also urged to raise their voices in support of refugee rights and to bring attention to their suffering on the global stage.
