The residents of northern Baghlan province has handed over 14 historic items to the national museum for better care, an official said on Saturday.
Mawlavi Ezatullah Haqqani, head of the provincial Information and Cultural Affairs, said two residents of Hussainkhel village in Pul-i-Khumri Amanullah and Haji Mohammad handed over historic items they inherited from their ancestors to the national museum for better protection and care.
Amanullah, who handed over historic items to the national museum said: “Some historic items that we inherited from our ancestors were with us in our home. We don’t exactly know how old these items were but our father inherited from his father.”
These items include horse reins, very old stove and silver coins were handed over to the National Museum for better preservation.
This comes that two months earlier, over 2,000 old icons were discovered in Baghlan province.
