Canada-based Afghans marked International Women’s Day with a series of special events. Hosted by the Canada Humanitarian Initiatives (CHI), the gathering highlighted restrictions on women’s rights, the ban on education, and the urgent need for international support.
Speakers stressed that the fight for women’s rights must continue to ensure Afghan women achieve their fundamental freedoms.
Participants noted that the ban on women’s education not only limits their future but also hinders Afghanistan’s overall progress.
They called on international organizations and media to take serious action, amplify Afghan women’s voices, and advocate for their rights on the global stage.
