Two journalists have been injured in gunfire by Pakistani forces at the Torkham crossing in eastern Nangarhar province.
Local sources say the incident occurred in Momand Dara district on Wednesday afternoon when several journalists had gone to the area to cover the ongoing clashes at the key border crossing.
Pajhwok Afghan News journalist Wali Mohammad Shinwari and a reporter with another different media outlet were wounded in shelling by Pakistani troops.
The injured journalists were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment by security personnel.
