The sixth academic seminar, titled “Ethnic Groups, Languages, and Culture of Afghanistan,” was held in Canada.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Shinwari, the former Deputy Minister and Acting Minister of Education, focused on the commonalities among the people of Afghanistan, emphasizing peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding, and respect for one another.
The seminar also discussed the misuse of ethnicity, language, and regional identities by certain groups for political purposes, as well as the harmful exploitation of young people’s emotions to spread hatred and prejudice.
One of the key questions addressed during the seminar was whether Afghanistan truly has “noble” and “non-noble” ethnic groups, or “good” and “bad” cultures.
In conclusion, the seminar emphasized the importance of unity among the people for the country’s prosperity.
The Canada-Afghanistan Foundation (CAF) and Wesal TV are organizing academic seminars to share important scientific topics and information with the young and enlightened Afghan generation, both in Afghanistan and worldwide.
