National taekwondo team player Sudis Sikandar has defeated three Pakistani opponents in the seventh round of the Asia Pakistan competition, and won the fourth gold medal for the country.
Bashir Taraki, the head coach of National Taekwondo Team told Pajhwok News Agency that Sikandar defeated Zaid Muhammad from Pakistan by 2-0 in the first match in the minus 73 kg category and then in the semi-final stage he defeated Habib Adeel from the host country by 2-0.
According to him, this young Afghanistan national team defeated his Pakistani rival Abbas Faisal in the final match and became the champion.
It should be noted that the Afghanistan national taekwondo team has so far succeeded in winning four gold medals in these competitions.
Earlier, Syed Zarif Hashemi, Tamimul Rahman Rahmani and Hakumuddin Ekeed in minus 55 and 48 kg weights have won three gold medals for Afghanistan in these competitions.
