Syria’s translational President Ahmad Al-Sharaa is set to visit Ankara, the capital of Turkey, today (Tuesday), media reports said.
Al-Sharaa is visiting Turkey on an official invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey’s state-run radio and television TRT reported.
It said Erdoğan and Al-Sharaa would discuss the latest developments in Syria, as well as possible joint measures to rebuild the country’s economy and achieve lasting stability.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun also confirmed Al-Sharaa’s visit to Ankara.
He expressed optimism about the future of Turkey-Syria relations, suggesting the visit could mark a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two nations.
On Saturday, the Syrian president Al-Sharaa travelled to Saudi Arabia and held talks with the Saudi crown prince.
