Ten Afghans were executed in Iran this month, the country’s Human Rights Organization chief says.
Speaking to Radio Azadi, Mahmoud Amiri Moqadam said that ten Afghans were executed in January 2025, six of them for murder and four for drug trafficking.
He said that Iran executed 53 Afghans on various charges in 2024.
A delegation from the Supreme Court of Taliban visited Iran recently and asked Iranian authorities to share with them the list of Afghan prisoners, especially those sentenced to death.
