An employment fair for newly arrived immigrants was held in Toronto by WoodGreen Community Services, where over 600 individuals were selected for various job positions.
The event, hosted by WoodGreen Community Services on October 7 of this year, is organized annually and allows various companies to announce their vacant positions to newly arrived immigrants.
This year, a total of 3,025 new immigrants applied for vacant positions from several companies, and 605 individuals were selected for jobs, undergoing interviews conducted by the human resources departments of the respective companies.
These successful applicants will begin their jobs in the near future.
WoodGreen is a non-profit organization that has been providing services for newly arrived immigrants in Toronto for 87 years, including job and housing search assistance, language learning, and various educational and training programs for children, youth, women, adults, and people with disabilities.
