The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will hold a meeting on the current situation in Afghanistan on Wednesday.
UNSC in its Programme and World announced the meeting on Afghanistan would kick off at 10am (New York time).
The session will include briefings from Roza Otunbayeva, head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), Sima Bahous, executive director of UN Women, and a representative from Afghan civil society.
The 15-member body had held its last meeting on Afghanistan in June, addressed by N Secretary-General Special Representative Otunbayeva.
