Over 300 Afghan migrants have been flown to Canada through a charter flight, Canadian government official said on Thursday.
On its Twitter handle, Sean Fraser, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, wrote: “A charter flight landed in Calgary today, carrying 309 Afghan nationals to safety!”
He wrote that this flight included passengers who worked with the Canadian Armed Forces, Human Rights Defenders in Afghanistan and their families.
“To our newest arrivals – Welcome home! 🇨🇦.”
