Iran’s Foreign Minister has called on Afghanistan and Pakistan to resolve their disputes through dialogue, stating that Tehran is ready to facilitate talks and strengthen understanding and cooperation between the two countries.

Last Saturday night, the Pakistani military carried out airstrikes on a seminary in Paktika province and on a residential house in the Behsud district of Nangarhar province. The attack on the house in Behsud martyred 17 members of one family, including women and children, and wounded several others.
In response, Afghan forces launched heavy retaliatory attacks on Thursday night across the Durand Line near the provinces of Paktika, Paktia, Khost, Nangarhar, Kunar and Nuristan, targeting Pakistani military outposts.
According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defense, Afghan forces killed 55 Pakistani soldiers, captured two bases and 19 outposts, and forced Pakistani troops to flee from four additional positions.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said: “In this operation, eight of our Mujahideen were martyred and 11 others were wounded. Additionally, in the enemy’s rocket attack on a refugee camp in Nangarhar, 13 civilians were injured, some of whom are women and children.”
The clashes reportedly ended around midnight.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for Taliban, said last night: “Pakistani forces carried out bombardments in parts of Kabul, Kandahar, and Paktia, which, thank God, caused no casualties.”
