At least six people have been killed and 46 others injured after a passenger bus overturned on a highway in southeastern Brazil, a media report said on Tuesday.
Al Jazeera reported the accident occurred early on Monday on the BR-153 highway near the city of Marilia.
It said bus was carrying farm workers from the northeastern state of Maranhao to Santa Catarina state in the south to harvest apples.
The report added six people lost their lives and 46 others wounded in the incident.
According to statistics from the Brazilian Ministry of Transport, more than 10,000 people lost their lives in traffic accidents in the country in 2024.
