At least four people have been killed and six others wounded after a landslide sent rocks crashing onto a residential house in the capital of central Kapisa province, an official said on Saturday.
Police spokesman Abdul Fattah Faiz told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in the Shokhi village of Charikar, the provincial capital, on Friday night.
He said rocks fell onto a residential home following the landslide, killing four people and injuring six others.
He did not provide further details about the incident.
Landslides and falling rocks in some mountainous areas of the country, particularly during winter and periods of heavy rainfall, have previously also caused casualties and financial losses.
