Afghanistan finished as runners-up in the Central Asia Volleyball Championship after a narrow 3–2 defeat to Turkmenistan in the final.
The tournament, featuring teams from six countries — Afghanistan, the Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Turkmenistan — began on October 22 in Bangladesh.
Both Afghanistan and Turkmenistan reached the final following strong performances during the group stage.
In a closely contested final on Tuesday night, Turkmenistan edged past Afghanistan 3–2.
Earlier in the tournament, the Afghan team had recorded victories over Bangladesh, Nepal and the Maldives, showcasing their competitive strength.
