At least 14 people have died after a migrant boat sank off the western coast of Turkey, according to reports.
The incident occurred in the western province of Muğla, where rescue operations involving boats and a helicopter are underway to search for possible survivors, Reuters reported.
Local officials in Muğla confirmed that one Afghan man survived the tragedy and managed to reach the shore. The survivor told authorities that there were 18 people on board when the boat began taking on water and sank within minutes.
No further details have been provided about the identity of the Afghan national.
