Israel has killed at least 97 Palestinians and wounded 230 since the start of the ceasefire and violated the truce agreement 80 times, Al Jazeera reports.
The Gaza Government Media Office said the Israeli military has killed dozens of Palestinians in a wave of air raids that it said were in response to a ceasefire violation by Hamas, which the group has denied.
It added that in the past 24 hours alone, at least 24 bodies and 74 injured people were brought to Al-Awda Hospital in northern Gaza.
President Donald Trump said the ceasefire in Gaza is still in effect, stressing that the US is working to ensure that the situation is “very peaceful”.
Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 68,159 people and wounded 170,203 since October 2023. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, and about 200 were taken captive.
This comes nearly two weeks after US President Donald Trump announced that indirect talks in Egypt had led to an agreement on the first phase of his proposed 20-point peace plan for Gaza, which includes the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave and a prisoner exchange.
