European Union Chargée d’Affaires Veronika Boskovic-Pohar says the EU would assist Afghanistan in construction of houses and creating jobs for returning refugees.
She said this at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Presidential Palace wrote on its X handle.
Boskovic-Pohar, saying the EU plans to cooperate in housing construction and job creation for returning refugees.
She added the EU was also ready to assist in the treatment of drug addicts in Afghanistan, noting that many positive developments had taken place under Taliban’s rule across various sectors.
For his part, Maulvi Abdul Salam Hanafi expressed gratitude to the EU for its assistance for refugees and earthquake-affected families.
The deputy premier discussed issues related to climate change, natural disasters and the return of migrants, calling on regional and international countries to fulfill their responsibilities in ensuring refugees were given their due rights.
